Welcome to the Internet home page of Wallingford & District Art Club. The Art Club was founded in 1979, by Artists and Art Lovers from Wallingford (Oxfordshire, UK) and its surrounding villages. The Art Club has the following objectives.

bulletTo enable Artists and Art Lovers to meet to discuss Art topics and visit exhibitions, in order to improve their appreciation and enjoyment of Art.
bulletTo help Artists of all abilities to improve their own standard of work, through practical workshops, tuition and demonstrations.
bulletTo provide workshop space, artists' models and tutors.
bulletTo provide an outlet for the exhibition and marketing of Members' work.

New members are always welcome. Membership is open to anybody who supports the objectives of the Art Club.

Benefits of Membership

Members of the Art Club enjoy the following benefits.

bulletFree monthly demonstrations. The Art Club runs an extensive programme of monthly talks & demonstrations. Typically an artist of local or national repute will talk to the Club about their work, and demonstrate their trademark skills and techniques.
bulletFree weekly Workshops. Painting Workshops are held weekly. The Workshops are intended as a forum where Artists of all abilities can come together to improve their own standard of work, through practice, mutual support, and friendly criticism.
bulletSpecial Events. From time to time the Art Club organises Special Events, such as outings to Exhibitions at major national galleries.
bulletOpportunities to exhibit work. Every year the Art Club organises a major public exhibition of members' work.
bulletDiscount Art Materials. Members enjoy a 10% discount on art materials on purchases over £10 paid for by cash or cheque at the local specialist art shop.
